Seasons May Change
Seasons May Change started as a series of fanfiction for the movie Rise of the Guardians. It was a simple premise: What would Jack Frost’s life as a spirit be like if there were spirits for the other three seasons?
While writing the series, I considered making a crossover fanfic withe Rise of the Guardians, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeons: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. Essentially having the characters from Rise of the Guardians (both from the movie and the book series Guardians of Childhood that the movie was based on) and my original characters going through the storyline of the Mystery Dungeon game.
In order to have this work, I made minor changes to the story line. Those minor changes grew bigger and bigger until I thought “This might as well be it’s own story”. I spent a few years figuring out the details (creating new characters to fill in the roles that were taken by Rise of the Guardians characters as well more changes with the plot). Finally in October of 2024, the prologue was posted. It’s also the first Webcomic to be Added to this website. Currently, I’m working on Story 1 of 4, Learning to Bend.
If anyone does want to read the fanfics that lead to the creation of this webcomic, they can be found on Archive of our Own under the username Skys_the_limit_1324 (Still me, just a different name. I even mentioned “Last Train from Timbercreek” in the note at the end of the most recent fanfic’s last chapter). here’s a link to my dashboard.
Hello. My name is Anya C. Rawlins (a.k.a. Dyclax). I’m a comic artist, writer, and story teller. My works include the Season May Change series, Page by Page (currently being rewritten), and a few short story comics that can be read for free here. Don’t mind the ghost cats.
Page by Page
Page by Page became my first webcomic back when I only posted on Webtoon. The first idea for Page by Page came about when I was at a talent show in 2017. the first performance was a piano piece. As I listened to the piano, I closed my eyes and imagined a scene of a young man chasing an evil spirit that took his sister. This would become the second chapter of Page by Page.
I started posting on veteran’s day 2021 and kept posting until summer of 2024 when I found myself burnt out and noticing the many flaws. It was discouraging. I had expected it to take longer before I would return to my first webcomic if at all. Than a random thought came to me late summer of 2025: “I have three pairs of older brother and younger sister. What if Scarlett wasn’t the only one to receive the dream from Anda?”. This random thought sparked new life into this story.
I have no plan set in stone just yet, but Page by Page is currently being rewritten and some drawing has begun for the comic pages November 2025. Updates will be given once the prologue is complete.
What else have I done?
I’ve participated in a project run by Andymation, The Flipbook of the Ring. We’re taking the extended edition of The Fellowship of the Ring and turning every shot into a flipbook.
I’ve helped make three flip books, drawing a total of 778 frames (amounting to almost 65 seconds of the film). The longest clip was 586 frame long (and I made a short comic describing my experience with that one in particular). Forgive for the limited pictures/videos.
Any Future plans?
Outside of comics, I am in the process of learning 2D animation. Why? Well there is a Youtube Channel called Pinkiemachine Studios. They’re working on their first movie, Alicia and the Kingdom of Starlight, which is based on the cut concepts from Disney’s Wish. It’s a love letter to what Disney used to be and I really want it to succeed.
My hope is to learn animation so that I can help with this movie since the most that can be confirm at this point is a storyboard version of the movie if they can’t get enough animators to fully animate. This movie deserves more then that. Besides, I have a couple of projects for my own stories that involve animation (maybe some official trailers).
Short Stories
Currently, the only Short Story is The Last Train from Timber Creek. It was an entry for a contest on Tapas. While it didn’t win and the writing is not my greatest work, it is the first completed comic I made, and it was made in honor of my late Grandfather.
As for other short stories to come, I have plans for some side stories for Seasons May Change, though that won’t be until around the end of the first main Story.
